Mosaic, 2023
This body of work conceptualizes the African diaspora as a mosaic, with each fragment representing the unique stories of heritage, resilience, and cultural legacy. As these individual pieces come together, they form a unified assemblage that honors both the diversity and shared experiences of diasporic communities, symbolizing the strength and continuity of their collective history.
Lucid Dreaming, 2024
This body of work reflects on the moral dilemma of choosing between two difficult paths—one representing security and responsibility, the other the pursuit of freedom and happiness. It conceptualizes this choice as not merely between two evils but as an opportunity for growth, urging the embrace of uncertainty and the courage to seek personal fulfillment through change.
Enigma, 2023
Enigma is a conceptual exploration of a young African boy's search for identity, rendered through a series of 233 memory-drawn illustrations arranged within a circular form. The circle, symbolizing the cyclical nature of existence, underscores the perpetual journey of self-discovery and cultural reflection. The choice of 233 drawings is deliberate, referencing Ghana’s country code (+233), grounding the work in a specific socio-cultural context while reflecting broader themes of origin, belonging, and the complex layers of identity formation.
War Tunic ,2024
This body of work explores the transformation of Akan warriors' tunics from symbols of battlefield valor to ceremonial relics, now intertwined with the complexities of contemporary politics. While they retain their historical significance, they are also tainted by modern disillusionment, reflecting the tension between legacy and the realities of present-day power.
Beautiful Chaos, 2024
This project combines digital and collage photography to create a sculptural installation that highlights the delicate beauty of Seahorse Key while critiquing environmental neglect. The manipulated photographs, encased in a handmade frame, reflect on the consequences of unsustainable practices. By contrasting natural beauty with destruction, the work encourages reflection on care and sustainability.
